Darryl Strawberry and scout Marlin McPhail will represent the New York Mets at the MLB draft on June 6, according to MLB.com.
Strawberry, the first overall pick in the 1980 draft, played for the Mets from 1983-89 and was part of the 1986 title team. In his eight seasons with the Mets, Strawberry hit 252 homers and drove in 733 runs while hitting .263. He also played for the Yankees, Giants and Dodgers, but is best known for his time with the Mets. He was inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame in 2010.
McPhail is a scout within the organization.
