Bobby Parnell tossed a scoreless eighth inning Wednesday. He finished his outing registering 101 mph on a radar gun.

Parnell faced early trouble in his appearance, walking leadoff batter Justin Upton, then allowing the Diamondback to advance to second base on a single by Miguel Montero.
Parnell then had some good fortune when Mark Reynolds lined out to shortstop and Upton was doubled off second base.
Rusty Ryal’s ensuing single moved Montero to third base, but Tony Abreu struck out to end the threat. The final two pitches registered 99 and 101 mph.
Triple-figures on radar guns are nothing new for Parnell. He registered 100 mph on a fastball to J.D. Drew at Fenway Park on May 22, 2009.
