NEW YORK -- Travis d'Arnaud has been cleared to begin playing in minor league games later
d'Arnaud this week, a team source told ESPNNewYork.com.
D'Arnaud received the go-ahead during a Monday exam in New York. He will run the bases Tuesday and Wednesday, then is scheduled to play in his first minor league game Thursday since suffering a broken left foot.
D'Arnaud, the organization's top catching prospect, suffered a fractured first metatarsal while catching with Triple-A Las Vegas on April 17.
He initially is expected to play in minor league games with the Gulf Coast League club in Port St. Lucie before returning to the Pacific Coast League. D'Arnaud is projected to be a September call-up.
