NEW YORK -- If you can't get enough of Mets PR director Jay Horowitz on Twitter, you can now get your very own bobblehead of the man.
The Mets will host "Social Media Night" on Aug. 23 against the Tigers, and the team will give out a Horowitz bobblehead. A portion of each ticket sold will go to "Hope Shines for Shannon", which helps pay for medical and other expenses for media relations official Shannon Forde, who has stage 4 breast cancer.
There will also be a postgame concert by Third eye Blind.
The Mets also announced they will host the first-ever "Citi Field Sleepover" on Aug. 10 at Citi Field. Fans will be able to watch the Mets road game against the Arizona Diamondbacks from the field that night, and can sleep at Citi Field. Tickets go on sale July 25 at 10 a.m. and there are only 500 tickets available.
A dinner buffet, late night snack, breakfast and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered, and fans can meet Mr. & Mrs. Met. All attendees will also receive a ticket to the Mets' game against the Brewers at Citi Field on Sept. 28. The gates will open at 5 p.m.
