New York Mets
NEW YORK -- Jonathon Niese will make what is expected to be his final rehab start tonight, although the location has changed.
Niese is due to pitch Game 1 of a doubleheader for Double-A Binghamton. The Mets previously had mentioned Brooklyn as the rehab location.
Niese is on the DL while recovering from a partial tear of the rotator cuff in his left shoulder.
His first major league start since the injury is penciled in for Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix. At that point, the Mets will return to a six-man rotation -- meaning Matt Harvey, after pitching Wednesday, next would appear next Tuesday at Dodger Stadium on an extra day of rest.
