New York Mets
PHOENIX -- David Wright stayed in New York when the Mets traveled west for their road trip. He will continue to get treatment on his strained right hamstring at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
Terry Collins indicated Wright eventually should move to the Mets' Port St. Lucie, Fla., complex. But, the manager added, it does not make sense to proceed now since he cannot do any activity anyway.
Wright landed on the disabled list last Saturday.
Collins said it would be foolish to predict a date for Wright's return. While the hope is the absence is four weeks or fewer, Collins said: "If it's five, it's five. If it's six, it's six."
