Matt Harvey appeared on "SportsCenter" on Wednesday, discussing his decision to rehab his injured elbow and put off possible Tommy John surgery.
"[Dr. James Andrews] believed that everything was stable," Harvey said. "Obviously the MRI showed a slight tear. But the way that I feel, the way that my arm feels, I never had a sharp pain in my elbow, never numbness or tingling. Through his tests, he believed that everything was stable, and that if we took the rehab route, that, in my mind, that’s gonna be the best thing for me. And going forward, obviously I want to be out there next year and in years to come. For me, taking the rehab route was something I strongly believed in."
