New York Mets
DENVER -- Curtis Granderson wasn't ready to pronounce himself fully on track after a two-hit game that included a two-run homer in the sixth inning.
"Getting there," Granderson said after the New York Mets' 7-3 loss Friday to the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. "One of the things we talked about before is each day trying to get a little (more) improvement than we had the previous day. Today was one of those days."
It was only Granderson's second home run, and his second two-hit game as a Met.
"Ultimately you're trying to help the team win the game and we weren't able to do that today," Granderson said.
