PHILADELPHIA -- The Mets continue to add positions to beef up their marketing and business operations. Here is their latest announcement:
FLUSHING, N.Y., May 29, 2014 -- The New York Mets today named Wes Engram to the newly created position of Vice President, Corporate Partnerships Sales & Service. Engram will be responsible for providing leadership, management and strategic direction for the club’s Corporate Partnerships Sales & Service department. He will report to Lou DePaoli -- Mets Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer -- and Paul Asencio, Mets Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships Sales & Service and will join the club June 19.
Engram joins the Mets from the Kansas City Royals, where he has been Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships & Broadcast Sales since 2010. He previously had eight years of increasing responsibility in corporate partnership positions with the Tampa Bay Rays, Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Force, and Memphis Redbirds.
“We’re thrilled to have Wes, one of the most respected leaders in our industry, join the Mets,” DePaoli said. “His experience, strategic approach, and leadership style are valuable assets that will help strengthen our sales and service efforts.”
“Bringing Wes on board will provide another talented resource to our team and will help further enhance our relationships with current and future partners,” Asencio said.
“I’m very excited to join the Mets in this new role, and look forward to creating new ways to connect our partners with our fans while providing value to both,” Engram said.
Engram began his career in 2002 with the Redbirds following his graduation from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., where he earned a B.A. in Business Management.
A native of Branson, Missouri, Wes and his wife Cendi have two children Connor (8) and Hannah (6), and have had 11 foster children in their home. They will relocate to the New York tri-state area next month.
