MIAMI -- The mass promotions in the Mets organization included a pair of first-round picks:

lastname Cecchini While 2011 top pick Brandon Nimmo is headed from St. Lucie to Binghamton, 2012 top pick Gavin Cecchini was promoted from Savannah to St. Lucie.

Cecchini, a 20-year-old shortstop, hit .259 with three homers, 25 RBIs and seven steals in 228 at-bats with low-A Savannah.
