Soccer off at Citi Field

NEW YORK -- The July 24 soccer match between Olympiacos and AC Milan has been shifted from Citi Field to Toronto, according to the Greek club's twitter account.

A Mets spokesman confirmed the cancellation and said regarding the promoter: "Relevent will continue to work with the Mets to explore bringing additional soccer games to the region. Online tickets will be refunded within 10 business days."

A local web site, Empire of Soccer, separately reported that AC Milan fans in the New York area planned to boycott the match over the firing of the club's manager.
