Tuesday's Mets-Nats lineups

WASHINGTON -- Here are the lineups as the Mets open a series against the Washington Nationals at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Nationals Park.

The Nats have won 10 of their last 11 games against the Mets. There are 13 games remaining between the teams this season, the most between any two MLB teams, according to STATS.

Lucas Duda starts against a left-hander. He is 1-for-6 with two walks in his career against Nats southpaw starter Gio Gonzalez.

Eric Campbell makes his second career major league start in left field. Juan Lagares, who hit .440 on the homestand, moves to the leadoff spot with Curtis Granderson not in the lineup.

The Nats have acquired lefty reliever Matt Thornton via a waiver claim from the Yankees. He is under contract for next season at $3.5 million.
