Mets farmhand Eudor Garcia suspended by MLB

NEW YORK -- New York Mets third-base prospect Eudor Garcia was given an 80-game suspension Tuesday after testing positive for the performance-enhancing substances bumetanide and furosemide, Major League Baseball announced.

Garcia, 21, hit .296 with nine homers and 59 RBIs in 398 at-bats with Class A Savannah last season. He was the organization's fourth-round pick in 2014 out of El Paso Community College.
