Does the New York/New Jersey area have room for one more NBA team?
NorthJersey.com reports that Newark’s Mayor Cory Booker and New Jersey’s Governor Chris Christie think so. As the Nets prepare to move to Brooklyn next fall, does New Jersey need a NBA team to replace them?
Given that the Nets finished 28th out of 30 NBA teams in attendance, you have to figure it’s a longshot. And what team could Newark possibly get? According to Al Iannazzone, who wrote today's piece in The Record, the candidates could include the Grizzlies, Hornets, Hawks, Timberwolves or Bobcats.
