Kris Humphries may not have a job or a celebrity wife right now, but he does have a position waiting for him with an AHL hockey club -- if he wants it.
On Wednesday, the Syracuse Crunch offered Humphries a spot on the team’s roster or in the front office, according to a team press release.
“We would welcome Kris Humphries to Syracuse, where unlike Hollywood there are no paparazzi within hundreds of miles and he could reclaim his privacy and self-esteem,” Crunch GM Vance Lederman said. “Being from Minnesota, Humphries will surely enjoy the hockey and feel right at home in the cold, gray, dismal weather we experience this time of year in Central New York.”
The press release also states the team would be willing to allow Humphries use its state of the art training facility and provide Humphries with a personal trainer until he signs with an NBA team.
Humphries had quite a busy summer during the lockout. He got married to Kim Kardashian, but 72 days later, the couple got divorced. Humphries is still in the celebrity spotlight -- but for all the wrong reasons, one scandal and joke after another.
Then there’s this note:
In paying homage to the short-lived Kardashian/Humphries union, fans can purchase a six-pack of tickets to either the club's Dec. 16 or 17 game for just $72.
The Nets are very much interested in bringing Humphries back. They currently are without a polished starter at the power forward position.
