Stevenson out, Brooks to start vs Atlanta

NEWARK, N.J. – MarShon Brooks will start Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks in place of forward DeShawn Stevenson, the team announced.

Stevenson will sit out with a sore right knee. Brooks scored 12 points against Miami Saturday after missing last Friday’s win over Toronto with a sprained ankle.

The Nets are already missing Mehmet Okur (back spasms) and Damion James (sore right foot) in addition to center Brook Lopez, who broke his foot before the regular season started.

New Jersey’s starting lineup with include: Deron Williams, Anthony Morrow, Kris Humphries, Johan Petro and Brooks.
