The Nets attempted to acquire Grizzlies guard/forward O.J. Mayo, but a deal is unlikely to materialize, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.
The Nets proposed scenarios involving shooting guard Anthony Morrow and a pick, according to the report.
Mayo is slated to make $5.6 million this season and then will become a restricted free agent.
Morrow, who has hit 19 of his last 33 3-point attempts, has two years and $8 million left on his contract.
Mayo, 24, is averaging 10.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game for Memphis.
