Nets' injury 'updates'

The Nets will be significantly shorthanded when they take on the Pacers on Tuesday night in Indiana.

MarShon Brooks (toe), DeShawn Stevenson (knee) and Mehmet Okur (back) are all out.

According to Tweets from reporters in Indiana, coach Avery Johnson had no update on Brooks, so there is still no timetable on his return. Johnson said there will likely be an update on Brooks during the weekend.

Okur had a “procedure” done Monday, and is expected to be back by the end of the week, or perhaps early next week.

There was also no update on Brook Lopez (foot). Lopez ran Monday for the first time. Deron Williams said he expects Brooks and Lopez to return around the same time.

Lopez has been out since having surgery on Dec. 23. Given that Wednesday marks the first day of February, hopefully things become more clear in the weeks to come.
