The Indiana Pacers drafted Cincinnati freshman Lance Stephenson, a former star at Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, in the second round on Thursday night.
Stephenson, 19, was the 40th overall selection.
"I really like this pick," Chad Ford of ESPN.com wrote on his pick-by-pick analsyis. "He was the Big East freshman of the year after being a blue-chip recruit. His game is well-suited for the NBA. He got a rep as a selfish player in high school, but he's a first-round talent all the way."
The 6-foot-6 shooting guards averaged 12.3 rebounds, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists for Cincinnati last season.
