As anticipated, the Rangers made a few roster moves in advance of Thursday night's roster freeze, recalling J.T. Miller from the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack and sending both defenseman Dylan McIlrath and veteran forward Arron Asham back to the team's minor-league affiliate.
The 20-year-old Miller, who has bounced between the big club and the AHL multiple times already this season, has recorded two goals and three points in the two games played since he was assigned to Hartford on Dec. 9.
Maybe the Rangers can get him an E-Z pass for Christmas?
The holiday roster freeze will remain in effect until Dec. 27, meaning no player can be traded, reassigned or recalled during that time.
