I'm posting this, but stats maven Mark Simon deserves the credit for the info:
* Delmon Young is 11-for-21 (.524 BA) against Andy Pettitte. That combines the regular season and postseason. Pettitte has faced 250 hitters at least 20 times. Young's batting average against him ranks best.
* When Curtis Granderson hit second this year, the Yankees went 13-8 and averaged 5.6 runs per game.
* J.J. Hardy is at the opposite end of the spectrum against Pettitte. He is 1-for-15 against Pettitte (.067 BA), tied for third-worst of anyone with 15-plus plate appearances against Pettitte.
