Colon leaves after six scoreless

The Yankees could not have scripted a better return for Bartolo Colon.

The veteran righty hurled six scoreless innings and gave up just five hits in his return from the disabled list. Colon is in line to pick up his sixth win of the year as he left with a 4-0 lead after striking out six and walking none.

After giving up a leadoff infield single to Jose Reyes, Colon retired the next 13 batters in a row. The Mets loaded the bases with one out in the fifth, but he induced an inning-ending double play from Dillon Gee to escape the inning with no damage.

Colon was 0-for-1 with a sacrifice bunt at the plate.
