Pre-Game Notes: Jorge Posada, relegated to bench purgatory last week, earned himself another start at DH tonight with his three-hit, six RBI day Saturday, which included a grand slam . . . Alex Rodriguez was travelling from Florida to Scranton today and is scheduled to play for the Yankees AAA affiliate Tuesday and wednesday in preparation of possibly re-joining the club as early as Thursday . . . A.J. Burnett is 3-3 lifetime vs. the Royals with a 2.52 ERA. A year ago today, Burnett was on the wrong end of a 1-0 score here when the Yankees were shut out on two hits by Bryan Bullington . . . Only two Yankees, Curtis Granderson (0-for-3) and Andruw Jones (1-for-3) have ever faced KC starter Felipe Paulino, which rarely bodes well for the Yankees chances.
