Yanks to start Colon early, Nova late

The Yankees announced on Saturday that, weather permitting, they will be sending Bartolo Colon to the mound in the early game Sunday (1:35 p.m.) and Ivan Nova in the late game (7:35 p.m.).

Colon has struggled of late. He has two wins in his last nine starts, pitching to a 5.21 ERA and allowing batters to hit .311 in that span.

It's been just the opposite for Nova. The AL Rookie of the Year candidate is coming off a win over Minnesota in which he tossed seven shutout innings. Since coming back from Triple-A Scranton, Nova is 5-0 with a 3.55 ERA.

Colon (8-8, 3.71 ERA) will face rookie lefty Zach Britton (7-9, 4.54 ERA). Nova takes the hill against struggling lefty Brian Matusz (1-6, 8.92).

BOTH GAMES ON WFAN: Yankees' radio rightsholder WCBS-AM 880 will be devoted to storm coverage all day Sunday so both games of the double-header will be broadcast on WFAN-AM 660.
