Granderson hits No. 41

Curtis Granderson hit his 41st homer of the season in the bottom of the first. He is one behind Jose Bautista, who leads the league with 42.

He's the third Yankees CF with at least 40 homers in a season. (Mickey Mantle did it four times, Joe DiMaggio three.)

Granderson and Willie Mays are the only players in major league history to have at least 40 homers, 10 triples and 20 steals in a season.

His two-run shot on Monday scored Derek Jeter, who led the game off with a single.
