Nova gives up four but in line for the win

Ivan Nova did not have a great outing on Sunday, but he's in line to pick up his 14th consecutive decision as he left after six innings with the Yankees up 8-4.

Nova struck out eight but gave up plenty of hard-hit balls, including home runs to Mark Trumbo and Chris Iannetta. He did a good job to limit the damage with runners in scoring position, as the Angels went 0-for-6 in those situations. Nova yielded eight hits on the night.

If the Yankees bullpen can hold, Nova will be 2-0 on the year with a 4.15 ERA.
