D-Rob scratched, Yanks not worried ... yet

TAMPA, Fla. -- Here are a few notes from Tuesday's 2-0 Braves win over the Yanks.

1. ANOTHER INJURY: David Robertson felt tight warming up so he didn’t pitch on Tuesday night. The Yankees do not think it is anything serious at this point, but they will monitor it.

2. TAKING THE FIFTH?: After giving up a rocket on a leadoff double to Jordan Schafer that led to a run to begin game, David Phelps didn't allow another Brave to score in his four innings.

The intensity of the competition between Phelps and Ivan Nova will heat up now and Phelps earned himself a positive check mark with his performance. Nova will start on Thursday in Jupiter against the Cardinals.

3. ADONIS HURT: Adonis Garcia, the 5-foot-9 Cuban, fractured his hamate bone in his wrist. He will have surgery on Thursday. Garcia was considered an outside candidate in the outfield combination. The Yankees like his bat.

4. CUTS: The Yankees have optioned INF David Adams to Triple-A. They sent Gary Sanchez, Tyler Austin, Rob Segedin, Greg Bird, Cito Culver, Francisco Arcia and Kyle Higashioka to minor league camp.
