Yankees sign Wang

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Yankees made it official today, announcing they had signed righthander Chien-Ming Wang, who had back-to-back 19 win seasons for them in 2006 and 2007, to a minor-league contract. Wang's Yankees career ended in 2009 after foot and shoulder injuries, and he had two lackluster seasons with Washington before opening some eyes around baseball in the WBC, when he threw 12 scoreless innings in two starts for his native Chinese Taipei. Wang is expected to report to the minor league complex on Monday.
