Rain threatens another Yankees game

Will there be baseball on the Bronx on Monday night?

As of 11 a.m. ET, there is a 90 percent chance of rain and thunder continuing to hit the New York area, with occasional thunderstorms likely to begin at 12:15 p.m., according to weather.com.

The Yankees, who are scheduled to play the Cleveland Indians at 7 p.m. on ESPN, will not take batting practice on the field. Pregame availability will include news press conference to announce the new New Era Pinstripe Bowl conference partnership and a chance to talk with former Yankee Nick Swisher, who now plays for Cleveland.

The Yankees-Red Sox game was called after 5½ innings due to rain Sunday night. New York lost to Boston 3-0 and has now dropped seven of its past eight and nine of its past 12 games.
