First Pitch: Old-Timers' Day

On Sunday, what's old is new again.

Dozens of ex-Yankees will put on the pinstripes Sunday and play in the franchise's 67th annual Old-Timers' Day before the Yankees-Rays game.

Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Ron Guidry, Reggie Jackson, Paul O'Neill, Lou Piniella and Bernie Williams are expected to attend, according to the Yankees.

And they won't be the only familiar faces to resurface at the Stadium.

Ivan Nova will also be back in the Bronx.

Nova will start the finale of the Yankees-Rays series on Sunday afternoon.

The 26-year-old was 2-1 with a 5.16 ERA with the Yankees this season but excelled at Triple-A, going 2-0 with a 2.04 ERA.

Nova began the season as the Yankees' No. 5 starter but was replaced by David Phelps, who earned the win on Friday.

Girardi said there are no firm plans for Nova. So it seems like this is just a spot start.

UP NOW: Johnette Howard tackles Robinson Cano's contract situation while Mike Mazzeo writes about Vernon Wells' breakout performance and I take you inside Zoilo Almonte's day.

ON DECK: Mazzeo and Wallace Matthews have you covered from the Stadium on Sunday.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you get fired up for Old-Timers' Day? Who are you most looking forward to seeing?
