Cubs manager Dale Sveum told reporters that the team is close to trading Alfonso Soriano. Soriano, who was pulled from the Cubs' lineup, is expected to be dealt to the Yankees. A source told ESPN New York earlier in the week, the Yankees would give up a low-level prospect and the Cubs would eat most of the $25 million ($18 million in 2014) owed to Soriano.
