NEW YORK -- Alex Rodriguez watched his favorite college football team play Thursday night.
By Friday morning, the Yankees third baseman was back at MLB's Park Avenue offices.
A-Rod arrived to a small group of supporters at 9:10 a.m. for Day 8 of his arbitration hearing. Rodriguez is appealing a 211-game suspension for violating the sport's drug policy.
A-Rod, who grew up in Miami, watched the University of Miami at Brother Jimmy's on Thursday night, flashing a "U" sign and staying until the end of the game. The Hurricanes emerged victorious in a last-second win.
A-Rod's hearings are not expected to end until after the World Series.
