Lance Berkman is hitting just .105 (2-for-19) through five games with the Bombers.
He was booed after grounding out to first to lead off the sixth on Friday night and finished 0-for-4.
"There are some bad at-bats in there, at-bats that I'm not happy about," said Berkman, who served as DH and hit sixth in his first taste of the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry.
Berkman said he would've been disappointed with the crowd in the Bronx if it hadn't booed him on Friday night.
"If I hit a buck and some change I expect it," said Berkman, who was dealt to the Yankees on July 31 for minor-leaguers Jimmy Paredes and Mark Melancon. "You hear about the good booing that goes on here when you don't do well. I would have been disappointed if I didn't hear a few. It wouldn't have felt like I was in New York."
