Game 100: Rangers (40-60) @ Yanks (51-48)

NEW YORK -- We have reached the century mark of this 2014 season, and in spite of all the injuries, the offensive underproduction, and all-around inconsistency, the Yankees remain in the thick of the AL East race, sitting four games behind the Baltimore Orioles, even with yet another player headed to the DL (Kelly Johnson, groin strain).

Joe Girardi burned through his bullpen in Tuesday night's 14-inning, 2-1 win, so the Yankees recalled RHP Chris Leroux from Triple-A Scranton in case David Phelps needs help tonight.

And for the time being, it appears Brian McCann is the first baseman, at least until Mark Teixeira is able to return from his lat strain. It also means that Francisco Cervelli, who caught all 14 innings Tuesday night, is behind the plate again.

Here's the lineup Girardi is sending out for Game 3 against the Rangers and their formidable starter, Yu Darvish:

Brett Gardner LF

Derek Jeter SS

Jacoby Ellsbury CF

Carlos Beltran DH

McCann 1B

Chase Headley 3B

Ichiro Suzuki RF

Cervelli C

Brendan Ryan 2B

Phelps RHP
