Yanks give HOPE

Alex Rodriguez, Andy Pettitte, AJ Burnett, Austin Kearns, Lance Berkman, Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain and Javier Vazquez stuck around Yankee Stadium after the Yankees' 11-5 win over Detroit to entertain children and volunteers from Beautiful People, an organization that helps children with special needs play sports.

The players, along with manager Joe Girardi and coaches Dave Eiland and Rob Thomson, played a baseball game with kids from Beautiful People. They also signed autographs and took pictures with members and volunteers from the group.

During the game, 16-year-old Daniel Fratto announced player's names, stepping in for Yankees PA announcer Paul Olden.

The event was part of HOPE Week, the Yankees' week-long celebration of individuals and organizations making a positive impact on communities.
