Tex's April is worst for a Yankee in 18 years

It is beautiful here at the Stadium and no one may be happier for today than Mark Teixeira, because April is over.

How bad was Teixeira's April? His .136 batting average was the worst by a Yankee in March\April since Jesse Barfield hit .125 in 1992, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Along with Nick Johnson's .138 average, it is the first time the Yankees have two players with average below .140 through April since Joel Skinner (.104) and Dan Pasqua (.130) in 1987.
