TAMPA, Fla. -- The day you have all been waiting for has arrived: Yankees pitchers and catchers reported to camp Friday morning.

Can't say the same for the manager or the GM; both Joe Girardi and Brian Cashman were stuck in New York yesterday because of the weather and are scheduled to get here late Friday afternoon.

But CC Sabathia, looking slim and yes, healthy, is here, as is Masahiro Tanaka, who has Mariano Rivera's old spacious and desirable corner locker, and so is David Robertson, who is intended to have Mariano's old job.

Also sighted this morning: Ivan Nova, Hiroki Kuroda, Michael Pineda, Shawn Kelley, David Phelps, Adam Warren, Preston Claiborne, Manny Banuelos, Dellin Betances and Jose Ramirez among the pitchers; Brian McCann, who spoke at length, Francisco Cervelli, and J.R. Murphy, whose locker nametag now reads "John Ryan Murphy." I'll ask him about that when I get the chance.

Andrew Marchand and myself worked the room for the hour allotted to us and will have stories on CC and his new bod, D-Rob and his new job, McCann and his new team, as well as some nuggets from Tanaka, who is addressing the media this morning.

We might even hear from Girardi assuming his flight gets in as scheduled around 3 p.m.

But it's on here in Tampa, the batteries have arrived, and the first workout is Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.
