We've spent part of the afternoon checking in with members of the Eagles' secondary for a column that's scheduled to run Friday morning. I had a chance to ask starting safety Quintin Mikell about Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. We also discussed the famed blue field at his alma mater, Boise State, but more on that later. Here's what Mikell said about Jackson:
"He's a lot like Donovan [McNabb]. He makes plays on the move. A lot of times you want to face a quarterback who's like a statue, but this guy's going to be tough for us. He's playing at a high level. The Giants run our defense, too, so he'll be somewhat familiar with what we're trying to do."
Mikell told me that defensive coordinator Jim Johnson has included even more blitzes than usual in Sunday's game plan, but more about that in Friday's column. Thanks again for spending part of your holiday with us.
