What can Brown do for you?

Houston Texans unrestricted free-agent safety C.C. Brown will visit the Giants on Tuesday, which means he'll probably sign by the end of the day. So far, New York hasn't let anyone escape the building without agreeing to a deal. Brown, 26, has been a serviceable player for the Texans, but he missed most of the 2008 season with a forearm injury.

At this point, it's highly unlikely the Giants will bring back James Butler. Last year, Tom Coughlin turned to another former Texan (and Jag) in linebacker Danny Clark. Now, it appears Brown might be called upon to provide depth behind Michael Johnson and Kenny Phillips.
