Ex-Eagle Buckhalter denies allegation

Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Correll Buckhalter has denied any involvement with an alleged drug dealer who's on trial in Pennsylvania right now. A prosecutor said Wednesday that the alleged drug dealer told police that he sold drugs to athletes, including Buckhalter, who now plays for the Denver Broncos.

Buckhalter signed a four-year, $10 million contract with the Broncos and he's hoping to challenge for a starting role in Denver. Through his agent, he vehemently denied the allegations.

"First of all, this news caught both Correll and me by surprise this morning," agent J.R. Rickert told The Associated Press. "When I found out, I talked to Correll, who said to me there is absolutely no validity to the allegation that was made. He did not purchase drugs from this individual or speak to this individual on the phone."

How are things going for Josh McDaniels in Denver? Probably not the type of start he envisioned in his first head coaching position.
