After reading senior writer John Clayton's strength of schedule column this morning, the Miami Dolphins may cancel the '09 season. The Professor makes a compelling case for the Dolphins finishing .500 after last season's improbable playoff run.
Here's the strength of schedule for every NFL team. The Eagles check in at No. 9 with the toughest schedule in the division (.535 is opponents' winning percentage). The Giants (.527) and Cowboys (.516) are Nos. 10 and 11. The Redskins (.492) have the easiest schedule in the Beast at No. 16.
The Redskins' opponents were a combined 125-129-2 last season. Make sure and watch our schedule release special at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and then flip over to ESPN proper for two more hours of coverage. I've been told to treat this like a national holiday, so my plan is to have continuous blogging from 7 p.m. ET until midnight -- unless I fall asleep earlier than that.
