Giants and Cowboys back-to-back in third

NEW YORK -- Looks like the best players still available are Vanderbilt cornerback D.J. Moore, Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram and Richmond defensive end Lawrence Sidbury. But the Giants went with Wisconsin tight end Travis Beckum with the 100th overall pick. Very nice player, but he's not much of a blocker and has fought through some injury issues.

The Cowboys used the 101st pick on Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee. We knew the Cowboys wanted to take a developmental type quarterback, but they may have been able to wait a little longer.

That said, I think McGee has a chance to be successful at this level. He was an incredibly tough player at Texas A&M and he never complained about having to play in Dennis Franchione's dreadful offense. It's almost like the Aggies tried to come up with the worst possible fit for McGee's skills. He has excellent size, moves well and is fairly accurate. His footwork leaves a lot to be desired, but he really responded well to coaching at the East-West Shrine Game.
