Jerry Jones feels 'electricity' of opening night

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will be holding court after the game, but here's what he told reporters at halftime of Friday's preseason game against the Titans:

"The electricity that we felt just prior to the opening kickoff was really special," said Jones. "Tonight confirmed what we were thinking all along -- that this is a venue that can create a great atmosphere. We look forward to that carrying over into a very unique home field advantage for the regular season. A big crowd that is excited and involved in what's going on down on the field can play a part in the team's play. My hope was that our team would deliver a performance tonight that was appropriate for this first night in our new home, and as I sit here at halftime, that was clearly the case.

"A great night. A great crowd. And an event we will remember for a long, long time."

Perhaps not as long as he'll remember the Jonas Brothers, but this was a nice evening for Cowboys fans. And the traffic wasn't bad as I'd feared. I'm not willing to share my secret path, but I can say that Ballpark Way is not a bad place to start.
