The league is considering the postponement of tonight's Eagles-Vikings game because of an expected blizzard that could dump up to 20 inches on Philadelphia. ESPN's Sal Paolantonio checked in with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter this morning.
"We are prepared either way," Nutter told Paolantonio. "If there is a game to play, we'll be ready."
The game is scheduled to be nationally televised at 8:20 ET. Nutter has declared a snow emergency in the area as of 2 p.m. ET. The Vikings have dealt with weather issues the past two weeks, so this is nothing new to them. If the game's postponed, I'd imagine they would try to play it Monday evening. That's what the Giants and Vikings did two weeks ago when their game had to be moved to Detroit because of damage to the Metrodome's roof.
We'll keep you updated throughout the afternoon.
