The Perry Fewell Watch continues

Since ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Cleveland Browns are trying to finalize a contract for Pat Shurmur to become their head coach, it appears that New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell has one opportunity remaining, and that's with the Denver Broncos.

John Elway, the Broncos' new executive vice president, has run perhaps the most transparent coaching search in league history. The team website posted video of Fewell that was captured during his drive to the team's practice facility. Fewell faces some stiff competition for the Broncos job with former Panthers coach John Fox in the mix. And Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison has strong Broncos ties.

No matter what happens with Denver, I'd expect Fewell to receive a bump in pay. And if he can help the Giants make a playoff run next season, I'd expect for him to be right back in the interview process next January.
