Cowboys have a safety issue

ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon continued his award-winning Cowboys position series Tuesday by focusing on safeties. The Cowboys aren't going to take a safety at No. 9 overall, but it wouldn't shock me if they selected one in the second round.

There's a good chance Gerald Sensabaugh will return for another season, but it would be a shock if Alan Ball remained the starter. The Cowboys had high hopes for him, but he didn't seize the opportunity. And it's not like any of the rookies appeared to be ready for prime time. When you're having to play undrafted rookies at the end of the season, something's gone wrong -- unless you're the Packers.

Much, much more to come. And remember that I'm visiting with Andy Dalton later today. Feel free to send in some questions.
