We pretty much knew where this was heading, but Redskins coach Jim Zorn made it official Wednesday that wide receiver Malcolm Kelly would start opposite Santana Moss in Sunday's game against the Giants. Kelly has been the leader in the clubhouse since the second week of training camp. At this point, he's a much more mature receiver than Devin Thomas -- even though they were in the same draft. Here's what Zorn had to say on the topic this afternoon:
"He's gone all training camp really improving along the way," Zorn said of Kelly. "His overall explosion off the line of scrimmage has been very good. I can't tell you everybody just stepped back and watched him go. But we're going to give him the opportunity to be out there."
So what are you guys predicting for Kelly this season? I think he'll have 45 catches for 600 yards and six touchdowns. Is that too optimistic? Not optimistic enough? Let me hear from you.
