Injured WR update: DeSean Jackson on list

Yeah, figured I'd lump all of the division's injured wide receiver into one post, since there seem to be so many.

The new news on this front is with the Philadelphia Eagles, as neither DeSean Jackson nor Jeremy Maclin practiced Thursday in advance of the team's very tough upcoming matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Maclin injured his hip in Sunday's game in Cleveland and has not practiced all week. Jackson practiced Wednesday but apparently injured his hamstring sometime between then and Thursday's practice. Eagles coach Andy Reid told reporters after practice that he believed both of his starting receivers would be fine and be able to play Sunday, but certainly this bears watching. If Jackson's injury is new this week, it could take a while to heal. Maclin was able to play through the hip issue Sunday. Take note of whether either or both practice at all Friday before deciding how worried to be. Fellow receiver Riley Cooper also missed practice, so the Eagles are very thin at that position.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon, who injured his foot after catching an 88-yard touchdown pass in Sunday's victory in New Orleans, was a limited participant in practice Thursday. Mike Shanahan said Garcon's availability for this Sunday's game in St. Louis would come down to how well he could manage and tolerate the pain. Again, take a look at how much Garcon does in Friday's practice. A key test.

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, who played last week despite the foot injury that's been bugging him since the spring and did not practice Wednesday, was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Barring some sort of setback with the foot, it appears Nicks will play Sunday against the Buccaneers.
