Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams was kind enough to offer us a little bit of his time on a Friday afternoon as he and his first-place squad finished up their preparations for Sunday's game against the Eagles in Philadelphia. I spoke with Williams about Robert Griffin III, what he thinks of the rest of the Redskins' offense, what it feels like to be in first place this late in the year and how he spends his weekends leading up to the games. Check out the video.
Williams has come a long way since this time last year, when he was serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy. He vowed over the summer to learn from that experience and come back as a Redskins team leader this year, and the way he's played reflects his sincerity about that. He's been one of the top tackles in the league and a key part of the reason the Redskins have one of the league's best offenses and are tied for first place with two weeks to go.
