NFC East links: Is upheaval bad for Dallas?

Dallas Cowboys

Troy Aikman doesn't see the current Jerry Jones-powered upheaval in the team's coaching staff making the Cowboys any better, the Hall of Fame quarterback said Thursday. "It’s got the look and feel as though Jerry’s making these decisions and I don’t know that that’s necessarily good," Aikman said.

New York Giants

Owner John Mara -- who hasn't "quite gotten over" the team missing the playoffs -- told ESPNNewYork.com he's not sure what will happen with free-agent defensive end Osi Umenyiora but "I would love to have him back."

Philadelphia Eagles

Some longtime friends of Chip Kelly weigh in on the coach's meteoric rise from offensive coordinator at the University of New Hampshire to head coach of the Eagles in just six years. Sam Donnellon of the Philadelphia Daily News has the story.

Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer takes a look back at the opportunities the Eagles missed in the fourth round of the 2010 draft, when they had four picks.

Washington Redskins

Ryan Kerrigan had 8.5 sacks and ended up in the Pro Bowl this season, but he's not at all satisfied with his performance. He talked with Steve Keim of the Washington Examiner about how he wants to improve in the offseason. "I need to be able to add more inside counter rushes, because I think I got at times too predictable with going with either a bull rush or on the edge,” Kerrigan said. “I need to add an inside counter move. That will allow my other moves to be more effective."
